At Mookai Rosie, we’re here to support the health and wellbeing of women and children from throughout regional and remote Far North Queensland. Our warm and welcoming accommodation offers a safe, comfortable space where you and your family can feel at home while accessing essential health care in Cairns.

Located at 105 Balaclava Road, our facility can accommodate up to 24 women and 12 children. Whether you’re here for medical treatment or supporting a loved one, we’re committed to making your stay as stress-free as possible.

Mookai Family Health Care offers a range of bulk-billed services including medical care, midwifery, and emotional and social wellbeing support. We proudly care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families from rural and remote communities across Cape York, the Northern Peninsula Area (NPA), and the Torres Strait. We also support non-Indigenous women who are pregnant with an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander baby.
